I was shocked to hear that our friend and fellow Ham, Fred Runkle, K4KAZ 
passed away from cancer on Friday December 8, 2006.  Fred was our voice at 
the Red Cross and arranged for the communications truck to be at the Hamfest 
this year.  He was an avid VHF-UHF Contester and it was always great to chat 
with Fred during a contest, especially on the Gigahertz bands.  Fred will be 
greatly missed in our Ham community.

Services will be held today at 2:00 pm at Flanigans Funeral Home in Buford, GA
