Field Day Plans: June 23, 24: - Stone Mountain Park.



Our Field Day will be held at Stone Mountain Park again this year. We
have moved our location from down by the lake to a location in the
field near the Police Station. If you look at the Map SHOWN HERE:

 you will see the event area 82 in black letters on a yellow circle.
We will be on the field next to the police station.

If you come in the East Gate off of Highway 78, You will be on
Jefferson Davis Drive. Stay on Jefferson Davis Drive and turn right at
the fork in the road. At the bottom of the hill Turn right again onto
Old Hugh Howell Road. There will be a road on the right just before
the police station. Turn to the right and follow the road straight to
our Field Day site. Be sure to tell the Attendant at the Gate that you
are here for the Alford Memorial Radio Club Field Day. Admission is
FREE for participants of the event for the entire 24 hour period. and
for Friday Setup. The menu will be hotdogs and hamburgers for lunch on
Saturday. Dinner will be Smoked BBQ Pork (Boston Butts via Jared's
Recipe) Corn on the Cob and lots of other good things to eat. Saturday
Night we will have Midnight Grits and Sunday Morning we will have
Susan Coletti's breakfast casarole and fruit.

You need to bring your Folding chairs, a 12 pack of your favorite
soda, tea or bottled water and a side dish to go along with the BBQ
and Corn. Not to mention your friends, family and every ham you know.

We are planning on a great Field Day this year, one you do not want to
miss. 73, and we hope to see you there.
